Our bodies are home to all of our experience: physical, emotional, mental, social, and energetic. Each of these layers intertwines with the next in ways outside the analysis of our rational minds. Instead, when tension, injury, or stagnation arise, we need to drop down into our animal bodies and follow the body’s logic to help these systems to resolve. This, for me, is what bodywork is about: creating a state of openness and deep safety and then enlivening the body’s own intelligence to do its work. This looks different depending on the client and session but may included deep specific injury work, subtle energetic unwinding, whole body integration, or a combination of all three. I received my massage certification in 2001 from the Institute of Conscious Bodywork in Marin and completed a thorough prenatal massage training there in 2003. I am influenced by my training in Swedish, Reflexology, Reiki, Prenatal, and Polarity as well as my 20+ years as a dancer and my exposure to Hakomi and Alexander Technique. My work is nourishing, transformative, and collaborative. I hope you will join me.
